Under the marketing assistance scheme the Corporation is assisting small scale industries for sale of their products to various Government departments, statutory bodies and Government Public Sector Undertakings since 1963.

As per the new procurement policy dt.01.12.2016 of the Government of Maharashtra following facilities are provided to the Corporation:-

  1. Exemption in tender fees and Earnest Money Deposit.
  2. To purchase 30% items from the items reserved for procurement from MSSIDC, if the MSSIDC participates in the tender for said item and agrees to supply at the lowest rate received in the tender.
  3. Procurement preference of 20% of the total purchase at par with MSME, if MSSIDC participates in the procurement tender.

Marketing Assistance Scheme

Under the Marketing Assistance Scheme, the Corporation participates in the procurement tender/tender inquiries published by various Government departments, statutory bodies, and Government Public Sector Undertakings on behalf of Small Scale Industries. On awarding the contract by the Department against the tender/tender inquiries the Corporation awards the contract to the unit/units on whose behalf the tender/tender inquiries participated. The successful unit/units have to supply the tendered items to the concerned Government Department directly. The payment against the supplies will be released to the concerned supplying unit/units only on receipt of payment from the concerned Government Department. The Corporation charges service charges for the marketing assistance provided to the small-scale industries.

Registration

The Small Scale Industries willing to supply Government Departments through Corporation required to register with Central or State Government for manufacturing of the products for which they want to register. The registration form is available on the following link: -

The Small Scale Industries will be inspected by the MSSIDC. After inspection and confirmation from MSSIDC for registration the SSI is required to pay registration fees of Rs.3,000+18% GST. The registration certificate issued is valid for a period of three years from the date of issuance. Thereafter the unit is required to renew the registration. The SSI unit having valid registration under the said scheme will only be eligible for participation in tender/inquiry through MSSIDC.
